The annual Ventana Research Digital Innovation Awards showcase advances in the productivity and potential of business applications, as well as technology that contributes significantly to the improved processes and performance of an organization. Our goal is to recognize technology and vendors that have introduced noteworthy digital innovations to advance business and IT.

Ventana Research has awarded Informatica its prestigious 2021 Data Digital Innovation Award. This award is given to the vendor that best exemplifies innovation in big data and related technologies for supporting data and information management-related needs. All finalists in the Data area of expertise were considered for this award.

Organizations of all sizes and industries are deluged by an unceasing torrent of data coming from a multitude of sources in many formats which are stored in disparate systems. But applying artificial intelligence and machine learning helps organizations maximize the value derived from data.

Ventana Research selected Informatica for the 14th Annual Data Digital Innovation Award for its CLAIRE engine that applies AI/ML throughout its product line. Informatica has been developing CLAIRE over a number of years, and our award this year acknowledges the breadth and depth of investment Informatica has made in using AI/ML to make data processes easier and more accurate.

Informatica has a broad set of data integration and processing capabilities. Accessing and preparing data — some of the most challenging information processes organizations face — can be time-consuming and error prone. Workers must pull together data from a variety of sources, and spend time creating and managing master data for consistency. They must ensure the quality of data being used in business processes, and do so in the face of constantly changing sources and uses of data. CLAIRE is Informatica’s application of AI/ML to many of these processes. It streamlines the activities with suggestions on how the data should be processed, and even automates some of the steps. It’s like having another set of eyes reviewing and working with the data.

Every organization should be applying AI/ML to its data processes. We expect that by 2024, 60% of all data processes will use AI/ML to boost the value that can be derived from the data. If you have not examined how Informatica and CLAIRE can help your organization, it is well worth your time. Congratulations, Informatica, for your continued innovation.
